After graduating from the Professional Golf Management program at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, Louis played a number of years on mini-tours. He had the good fortune of working for and studying under world-renowned golf instructor, Jim McLean, and soon became a Lead/Master Instructor for the Jim McLean Golf School, the number one golf school in the world. He also trained with other top golf instructors: Butch Harmon, Hank Haney, Mike Adams, Phil Rogers, and Carl Welty. With a desire to improve his own skills and teach at the highest possible level. Louis obtained certifications from the C.H.E.K Institute for golf performance, Golf Psych, and Zen golf.
